'Enveloped' No2 - Sculpture Progress Update

Polishing the sculpture is nearly completed. In the next couple of days I will be finishing off the base and making the rest of the garden ready for the small artworks that the students have made. I have planted four (very small) Olive Trees at the back of the sculpture that will hopefully over time, provide a pleasant backdrop. I chose olive trees as they are hardy and will take the full that floods over the area during the long Victorian summer afternoons.

The base of the sculpture requires further work where the concrete meets the stone to make a better visual finish to the join. It will also be rendered to make a better finish. I will also be sealing the stone with an anti graffiti liquid over which there will be a further weather sealant.
